Yesterday my dad and I decided to work on the bike repair stand we have been brainstorming since I saw the “euro” type stands in Belgium. Here are some pics of what we came up with.
The folding action was inspired by a ironing board. It’s probably a quarter of the weight of a Park Tool Stand and folds up smaller. Check out the rubber feet, MTB grips! Pretty sweet.

How much will it cost me for a gnarly stand like that!?

Yo, that’s the way a stand should be. Where can I get one?

ok, if you are interested in purchasing one they cost $125, for labor and materials. according to my dad “you can have it in any color you want as long as it is black” and you need to supply your own fork clamp. let me know if you want one (post or email).

Does the stand fit regular sized bikes or just circus bikes?
Is the part the bottom bracket shell sits on padded or rubberized?

it fits anything, the fork mount on mine is adjustable 8 inches. but we can put any length tube on there. if you have a very large frame measure from your BB to the fork dropouts and we will make sure it fits.
we are currently devising a rubber coating or something for the BB pad.
