		<description>Thanks. The main problem i am having is i cant get pig to run in mapreduce/hadoop mode... Its not connecting to hadoop. When i run pig it tries to connect to hadoop but fails. 

It fails like this:

Connecting to hadoop file system at: file:/// (&lt;= this is supposed to have localhost:506493)....that was a random port number</description>
