		<description>You should have mentioned that this was not an ubuntu-specific bug. Thats rather narrow. It was more of a kernal bug. (I believe, 2.6.27-rc).

The &#039;bug&#039; effected many linux distributions (the newer releases/updates, anyway).

The list included:
Mandriva, Gentoo, Fedora, OpenSuse, Ubuntu, and more.

In most cases this happened to laptops, and if it did occur, all you&#039;d need to do is do a bios update and it would be up and running again. (It happened with mine and I recovered full use of it)</description>
